Abstract	The object of this research is the application of a compound mathematic model of simulation - management - optimization in the Pythio-Elassona aquifer region. The aquifer simulation was carried out with the MODFLOW program, a three dimensional model, which solves the flow problem with the finite difference method. The management model, MODMAN, operates using the response matrix method and turning the problem into linear. The third step of the application is the implementation of the optimization LINDO program, which is based on the linear programming method. From the application of the simulation program, the water balance of Pythio-Elassona aquifer showed a deficit so the necessity of aquifer management and optimization arose. From the implementation of management and optimization programs results the optimal drawn water volume from each well. This solution satisfied all the piezometer and pumped water volume restrictions, covering the water balance deficit, with the smallest possible cost.
