Abstract Artelaris P, Kalioras D, Pantagis P, Petrakos G:
"The economical geography of development both of new and under accession European Union mempers.",
In 7PGC/HGS: (2004)

Keywords   Economic Geography, Population Potential Index, New and Under Accession EU Member – States
Abstract   The purpose of this article is to stress the significance of the geographic component of the economic development of the regions of the new and under accession EU member – states. The population potential index is calculated both in country and European framework and the (cartographic and diagrammatic) comparison of the results reveals the different impact of the changes in the European economic map on these regions. Despite the restrictions of these kinds of indices, the findings of the article, seen in a more general framework of analysis, are of a great interest.
